meet the artist
The art of photography fascinates me. 500th of a second is all it takes to capture a moment, a feeling, your now. Life and its memories are valuable especially at those special times in life when all the emotion culminates (ie. marriage vows, celebrating the success of high school, or embracing the love and presence of family). Commissioning an artist to document physical being and the underlying flowing emotion with stunning light, honed technical skill, and confident direction is invaluable. Creating art like this for my clients is what I am passionate about. Getting to know awesome people, earning their trust, celebrating their joy with them while we create photographs, and delivering one-of-a-kind custom heirloom albums and photographic prints is the most exhilarating process.

the Process
-Do just that! Come on over to my downtown Des Moines studio in Mainframe Studios to view the select best images we created during the shoot narrowing down dozens of files to the select best few that embody the experience of the shoot and genuinely portray the subject looking, and feeling, awesome!
-Use those favorites of best images and choose which photographs should be used in the photo products included in any packages chosen - which typically include gorgeous albums, loose prints, canvases, and metal wall prints.
-Utilize a super-slick program that allows us to virtually see exactly what chosen images could look like on your own walls using a simple photo I'll have you snap and send over prior to this meeting.
During the viewing and ordering meeting we'll...
-Have fun chasing the best light, finding complimentary/interesting spaces to shoot, laughing, dancing, and whatever else happens!
-Feel confident and natural in front of the lens as I provide as much or as little direction necessary. Drawing on natural emotion and innate beauty is surprisingly easier than you'd think! Shoots are always relaxed, free-flowing, natural experiences that truly are lots of fun!
