Nickolas and Kelli’s wedding day was a “Winter Wonderland” – complete with a sanctuary filled with white twig trees and christmas lights, as well as a reception hall adorned with red candies, ornate winter themed flower centerpieces, and a very realistic winter nip in the air between the ceremony and reception locations! We braved the cold and wind to get some gorgeous outdoor portraits but shot as much as we could inside the warmth of the church – granted the extreme weather outdoors!
One of the highlights of the day was Kelli’s first dance with her father – unable to dance, Kelli and her father, who has multiple sclerosis, blew bubbles. The joy in his eyes was unmistakable. His strength and presence on Nickolas and Kelli’s wedding day was very touching and brought the entire reception hall to tears. It brings me back to the core and meaning of life – family and loving one another. Capturing those memories to last forever is the greatest honor as a photographer.
