I met Vanessa studying abroad in Northern Italy! We’ve stayed in touch and now I get to shoot her wedding in Chicago next June! I was thrilled to head out to Glen Ellyn and shoot their engagement photos! We decided to shoot the nature-esque images at the Gardens at Cantigny Park. Manicured gardens, expansive lawns, beautiful fountains and a beautiful couple made shooting there awesome! Turns out Cantigny is a hot spot to shoot wedding bridal party images too. We counted five Hummer stretch limos in the parking lot and SEVEN wedding parties roaming the grounds for their portraits. It was a fun challenge to try and avoid the bustle of everyone else there and find our quiet spots.

After sunset there we headed to downtown Chicago for some authentic Chicago Style deep dish pizza at Pizzeria Due!! We were able to get a few fun shots along Michigan Avenue before we had to catch the train back to the suburbs! It was an awesome time and my first strictly business trip by plane!
