It was, like, the fist snow in Iowa in November and I was laying poolside in Arizona. I had just arrived in Phoenix, where Cassie is attending medical school, for an awesome weekend of engagement photos around town and up to Sedona (check them out here!)! That amazing photo trip was a fantastic way to get to know Cassie and Sam as a couple real quick – and I decided right away that I like them a lot!

The same love I had the thrill of capturing in the desert flowed times 10 on wedding day in Ames, Iowa! So photogenic, so amazing. Photographer heaven – these two and their perfect wedding day!

Cassie and Sam’s wedding ceremony was on the Central Campus lawn at Iowa State University, right under the infamous Campanile. It was the perfect setting given their Iowa State love story that developed in this very space. As an Iowa State grad myself it was really something neat to be a part of Cassie and Sam’s wedding celebration in such a special place.
